ABOUT US

JEFF LOY

Owner / Lead Troublemaker

Jeff’s passion for cars was ignited at just two years old when he attended his first drag race. Growing up in Southern California during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, he was surrounded by the rich culture of hot rods, muscle cars, and high-performance racing. That lifelong love for the automotive world eventually shaped his vision for Nostalgic Garage.

After years of working in other industries, Jeff set out to turn his passion into reality—building a SoCal-style speed shop in Northern Kentucky. His goal is to make Nostalgic Garage

"THE"

go-to destination in the Midwest for auto restoration, performance upgrades, and resto-mod builds. With a deep appreciation for classic cars and the craftsmanship that goes into bringing them back to life, Jeff is committed to delivering high-quality builds that honor the past while embracing modern innovation.

Now, with a team of skilled technicians and a reputation for excellence, Jeff is leading Nostalgic Garage toward national recognition—one build at a time.

Charles Krahel

Performance Technician / The "Jeep Princess"

Charles has been immersed in the automotive and off-road world since childhood. Growing up surrounded by the Jeep community, his fascination with cars and trucks started early—building and collecting model cars as a kid before transitioning to hands-on experience in high school automotive classes.

In May 2024, Charles graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) with an associate degree in Automotive and High-Performance Technology. He is currently furthering his education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on automotive supervision.

Beyond the classroom, Charles has been an active leader in the off-road world. As president of the UNOH Off-Road Club, he taught off-road safety, driving techniques, and spotting classes to fellow students. His passion for off-road racing led him to compete in Ultra-4 events throughout the 2022 season with Rock Ware, working on and racing buggy #212.

Now a technician at Nostalgic Garage, Charles brings his off-road expertise, technical skills, and passion for performance to every project—whether it’s a classic restoration, an LS swap, or an off-road build.

Corey Emerson

Performance Technician / "The Ford Guy"

Corey has been a Northern Kentucky native his entire life, with a deep-rooted passion for the golden era of muscle cars. After graduating from Sinclair Community College in 2006 through the Chrysler Automotive Program, he dedicated the first 15 years of his career to honing his craft at Mazda and Ford dealerships.

Now, as "The Ford Guy" at Nostalgic Garage, Corey brings his extensive experience and enthusiasm for high-performance builds to the team. Inspired by legends like Chip Foose and Stacey David, he is committed to pushing the boundaries of automotive restoration and customization. His ultimate goal is to help Nostalgic Garage grow into a nationally recognized destination for auto restoration, performance upgrades, and resto-mod builds.

When he's not turning wrenches, Corey is always looking for ways to blend modern performance with classic car heritage, ensuring every build meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Cali

Head of Security / First Impressions Mgr.

Cali is the official shop dog and self-appointed First Impressions Manager at Nostalgic Garage. With a bark that can make even the biggest dog lovers take a step back, she takes her job of greeting customers seriously. But don’t be fooled—once you’re inside, she won’t let you leave without giving her plenty of rubby rubbies!

Cali keeps the team in check, ensuring the shop runs smoothly while making her rounds between the office and the garage. She loves being around people and classic cars, always finding the perfect spot to supervise the action. However, she does have her limits—loud air impacts and die grinders still catch her off guard from time to time.

Whether she’s making new friends, keeping an eye on the crew, or just soaking up the garage vibes, Cali is an essential part of the Nostalgic Garage family.

Providing Expert & Honest Service Since 2020

Our History

Growing up in Southern California, Jeff had always been around speed shops. He felt that there was something missing with the speed shops in the tri-state area so came up with an idea for Nostalgic Garage. Also, it was an excuse for him to buy equipment that he wanted for his own vehicles as well. Nostalgic Garage opened in 2020 with the idea of bringing a west coast speed shop vibe to the tri-state area. We want a forum and atmosphere for “gear heads” to be able to get parts and service and just hang around seasoned car addicts to get ideas for their rides as well. We have a 750 sq ft retail space for parts and apparel along with a 3000 sq ft shop. We have a lounge area as well so come take a load off and have some coffee while discussing what you need for your ride!

Our Service

We want to be known as the first shop for all of your performance and rebuild needs. We network with some of the best shops in the tri-state area and will make sure to point you in the direction of someone that can help. Our ultimate goal is to make sure every guy and gal has their ride tricked out the way they want without breaking the bank to do so.
